One of the oldest pieces I own, Annie was given to me by my grandmother. She dates from the 1870s and has a human-hair wig, a sawdust-stuffed kidskin body, and hand-stitched clothing complete with tiny leather shoes.

Needless to say, making the mold of her face was terrifying.

Dollface:

One of the new crafts that I took up during 2020 was resin casting. I enjoy using vintage and antique pieces in my works, but at the same time the conservationist in me doesn't want to use a one-of-a-kind object as just another material. Resin casting solves the problem by making copies of these unique pieces.
